Date Night: Four Holly-Date Ideas

Christmas is certainly a romantic season. Visions of sugar-plums and hallmark movies flash in our heads. We imagine all the magic moments that make Christmas so special. Things like: Kissing under the mistletoe, wrapping presents for your children, looking at Christmas lights in your car, and walking through the park through the snow. (Okay, maybe not that one. We live in the south.)

Here are some date night ideas for a Holly-date around Holly Springs:

Enjoy a meal under a heater.

There are multiple restaurants in town that provide heated outdoor seating. Call ahead to see if you can bring your furry friends with you to enjoy some time out of the house as well. Some of your outdoor options are:

  • Hickory Tavern
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Mason Jar Tavern
  • Bass Lake Draft House
  • Tijuana Flats
  • My Way Tavern
  • Osha
  • The Blind Pelican
  • Town Hall Burger and Beer
  • Vieni Risto Bar

Share a Picnic in the Park.

We always have some of those warm winter days around here. If we are lucky enough to have one to hose afternoons Head out early to walk the path at Womble Park 1.3 miles figure eight track. Pack yourself an afternoon lunch and share a picnic in the park.

Volunteer together.

There are multiple opportunities to volunteer your time to help in-need families in Holly Springs. Here are some ideas:

  • Serve at the Holly Springs Food Cupboard
  • Volunteer at a Local Church
  • Join a Rotary or Kiwanis Club
  • Do your spring cleaning early and donate your goods to a local resell nonprofit

See the best Christmas lights in town.

Holly Springs has put together an amazing interactive map of the best places in our community to gaze at Christmas lights. You can be dazzled without even leaving the heat of your car. To see the map, please visit https://www.hollyspringsnc.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1177 to view and use the map.
